Gregory G. Stephan
Aug 2, 1955 - Oct 12, 1998
Born in Buffalo, NY, he was raised and educated there until his family moved to Sudbury in 1970. He graduated from Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in 1973 and attended San Diego University. Mr. Stephans career was in the field of Photography and Graphic Arts. At the time of his death he owned and operated Nebula Design & Consulting, a graphic arts computer consulting firm and Web Master. He was the originator, the designer, writer and editor of the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce History and Membership Guide and Directory. The first issue was printed in 1989, followed by a second in 1992 and the third and final, prior to this issue, in 1996. It was with his insistence that each Guide Book be dedicated to some notable Sudbury Citizen. He formerly worked as a free-lance photographer as well as designer and editor for Travel Media in Charlestown. In the years of infancy of the world wide web his own company Nebula Design designed web sites for such accounts as Nikon, Prudential Real Estate Affiliates of New England, Aruba Board of Trade, Asia Galleries, Sudbury Chamber of Commerce and many others. In the process of opening a second office in New York City he died after suffering an acute attack of asthma, October 12, 1998. Gregg is survived by his daughter, Aja, a student at New York University.
The Sudbury Chamber of Commerce 2000 Business Directory and Guide Book is dedicated to the memory of two of Sudburys notable citizens. One was a founder of the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce and the other the originator of our Business Directory & Guidebook. Without them, the town surely feels like a poorer place, but nonetheless, will ultimately be richer because of the great wealth of their contributions, which will be felt for generations to come.
